Week 17 Matchup: Chicago Bears (5-10) vs. Minnesota Vikings (6-9)
TV Schedule: Sunday, Dec. 28, 1:00 p.m. ET, FOX
Stadium: TCF Bank Stadium
Line: Minnesota (-6.5)
The Chicago Bears and Minnesota Vikings will meet up in Week 17. Unfortunately, both teams have already been eliminated from the playoffs. Regardless, I am sure both teams would want nothing more than to come away with the victory.
Jay Cutler will get the start in this contest. Although he has not had the season that many fans were hoping for, he could sure use a solid start against the Vikings. Who knows what the team is planning on doing during the offseason, but I am sure another bad start out of Cutler would have the Bears thinking about his future (in a negative way).
While Minnesota enters this one on a two-game losing streak, Chicago enters on a four-game losing streak. The Bears got the best of the Vikings in Round 1, but they will travel on the road this week, and have seen much better days.
As is usually the case with Chicago, if Cutler and the offense shows up, it could win this one with ease. Something tells me it’s not going to be that easy, though. Minnesota needs some work in the offseason, but getting to seven victories should be looked at as a win, which is what I am predicting to happen. Look for the Bears to compete, but for Minnesota to start pulling away in the second half.
PREDICTION: Bears 22, Vikings 30
