Week 17 Matchup: Cleveland Browns (7-8) vs. Baltimore Ravens (9-6)
TV Schedule: Sunday, Dec. 28, 1:00 p.m. ET, CBS
Stadium: M&T Bank Stadium
Line: Baltimore (-10)
The Baltimore Ravens didn’t do themselves any favors in Week 16, but they can still make the playoffs with a victory in Week 17 (and a little bit of help). The Cleveland Browns’ season went down the drain in a hurry, but they will certainly have the chance to play spoiler in this matchup.
The Browns have now lost four games in a row. Before that four-game losing streak, they were very much alive for the playoffs, and the fanbase had plenty to look forward to. Sure, next year could be much better, but ending the season on a bad note is never the most ideal thing to do. It doesn’t help that Johnny Manziel hasn’t really been meeting expectations either.
Baltimore, on the other hand, was in great shape until its loss last week. The Houston Texans limited the Ravens to 13 points.
Regardless, the Ravens just have to worry about themselves in this one (not about the San Diego Chargers losing). And, Joe Flacco has to come up big. Three interceptions isn’t going to get the job done, which is how many he threw against Houston in Week 16. Still, I have to go with the Ravens for the simple fact that they have more to play for, and Cleveland is on quite the cold streak. It helps that they will be playing at home as well.
PREDICTION: Browns 21, Ravens 27
