Week 17 Matchup: Indianapolis Colts (10-5) vs. Tennessee Titans (2-13)
TV Schedule: Sunday, Dec. 28, 1:00 p.m. ET, CBS
Stadium: LP Field
Line: Indianapolis (-7)
It’s a good thing the Indianapolis Colts already clinched their playoff spot before Week 16. As for the Tennessee Titans, they have been out of the playoff picture for quite some time.
Indianapolis was not at its best against the Dallas Cowboys. The Colts lost the game by the score of 42-7. They clearly cannot play like that in the playoffs — well, if they plan on making a run. Regardless, if Andrew Luck and the rest of the starters go the entire game, the Colts will win this one with ease, and enter the playoffs with a little bit of momentum.
The Titans have lost nine games in a row. Not to mention, they haven’t won a game since Week 6. They just lost to the Jacksonville Jaguars, who are not even close to being on the same level as Indy.
With that said, this one could get ugly earlier on. These two teams met back in Week 4. To no one’s surprise, the Colts won big (41-17). All in all, Indianapolis has had a pretty solid season, but now is not the time to take the gas off the pedal. Sure, the team was on a four-game winning streak before the Week 16 loss, but it is crucial to enter the playoffs with some momentum. Regardless of who is playing for Indy, I am giving it the nod on the road.
PREDICTION: Colts 27, Titans 14
