Week 17 Matchup: Dallas Cowboys (11-4) vs. Washington Redskins (4-11)
TV Schedule: Sunday, Dec. 28, 1:00 p.m. ET, FOX
Stadium: FedEx Field
Line: Dallas (-6.5)
The Dallas Cowboys have clinched their spot for the playoffs. At this point, that is really all that matters. Translation: Now would be a great time to rest all of the starters. As for the Washington Redskins, their record pretty much tells it all. As a result of Dallas already being in the playoffs, and Washington having absolutely nothing to lose, this could be a close game.
Dallas couldn’t have ended the season on a better note. It managed to knock off the Chicago Bears, Philadelphia Eagles and Indianapolis Colts in its last three games. The Cowboys didn’t just beat the Colts, though, they beat them by the score of 42-7. Yeah, I think Tony Romo and co. are ready for the postseason.
Washington actually won its last contest. Not to mention, it was a victory over the Philadelphia Eagles. That ended a six-game skid for the Redskins. Although the season has been a complete mess for Washington, it can certainly end the year on a good note by beating the Eagles and Cowboys in back-to-back games.
Dallas resting its players or not, I am predicting the Redskins to take this one at home. For Robert Griffin III‘s sake, he needs to lead his team to victory in the final week of the 2014 season.
PREDICTION: Cowboys 20, Redskins 24
