New York Jets Must Fix Offensive Production For 2015

If a football team can’t score points, they just won’t win many football games. The New York Jets know all about that this season. They have the absolute worst red-zone offense in the entire NFL having only converted about 38 percent of their possessions into actual touchdowns.

Whether one blames offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg, quarterback Geno Smith or the inconsistency of the Jets’ offensive line, it’s all lumped up into one big failure. It’s sad considering how other teams boast top-notch offenses and the Jets can’t even convert third downs effectively.

If the Jets plan to be competitive in 2015, they must make this upcoming offseason one for the ages. They have much work to do to not only bolster the offensive side of the team, but to also reestablish their image to legions of fans expecting a much better season of actual production.

Most teams know the importance of having a high-octane offense; it’s the only way to guarantee an entry into the NFL Playoffs and being able to compete these days. The Jets need to add some more playmakers on offense and settle their quarterback situation. It’s the only way they will be able to begin the lengthy process of putting together a team that is able to score efficiently.
