The Cincinnati Bengals will go on the road this week to take on the Pittsburgh Steelers in a game that will determine the AFC North champions. Both teams have already clinched a playoff berth, but the division title comes down to this Sunday night game.
The Bengals have been playing solid football as of late. They knocked off Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos in Week 16 and seem to be gaining momentum heading into the postseason. All eyes will be on Andy Dalton and how consistently he is able to play in big games down the road, and it will all start this weekend in Pittsburgh.
The Steelers have been on a roll, winning their last three games and entering this game with the second ranked offense in the NFL. Ben Roethlisberger is having a stellar year with 30 touchdowns, only eight interceptions and a QB rating of 103.8 thus far. The Bengals’ defense, which has been playing extremely well lately, will need to have a game plan in place to stop Big Ben from making big plays.
The Bengals suffered a huge 42-21 loss to the Steelers at home just three weeks ago. In fact, that was the last game they lost. They saw Big Ben throw for 350 yards and three touchdowns, and Le’Veon Bell rush for 183 yards and two touchdowns. Since that game, their defense has looked like a completely different unit, shutting out the Cleveland Browns in Week 15, and containing Manning last week. It will be interesting to see how they respond this week, with the conference title on the line. Will they get their sweet revenge?
