The Baltimore Ravens are in a familiar position as the No. 6 seed in the AFC Playoffs. They are forgotten about when it comes to Super Bowl contenders. They have already won a title in this very same position, but here are five reasons why that won't happen this season.

The Ravens played the AFC South and the NFC South, arguably the two worst divisions in the NFL. They did play two playoff teams in their own division, but it is hard to tell if they are any good since they played the same schedule for the most part. The only non-division playoff team they played were the Colts and Panthers, who both made it as No. 4 seeds thanks to automatic bids.

The Baltimore Ravens went 6-2 at home, compared to 4-4 on the road. They lost to Cincinnati, Houston, Pittsburgh and Indianapolis, while only beating Tampa Bay, Cleveland, Miami and New Orleans. There's no doubt they would rather play their games at M&T Bank Stadium.

The Pittsburgh Steelers are one of the teams everyone is jumping on as their dark-horse candidate to win it all. If the Ravens were able to defeat them in the Wild Card round, then they would have to face Tom Brady and the New England Patriots in Foxborough. If they somehow won that game too, they would likely be facing off with either Andrew Luck or Peyton Manning in the AFC Championship game.

2. Suspect Secondary

The Ravens' defense ranks 24th in the league against the pass. The AFC has some of the all-time best at QB currently in the playoffs, so the Ravens will not be able to survive with their secondary playing the way it has all season long.

Joe Flacco had one of the best postseasons we've ever seen from a QB in 2013. That is how the Ravens were able to play so well and win the Super Bowl. He just doesn't have that in him this season after replacing Anquan Boldin with Steve Smith, who hasn't been good since Week 6. There is no way that we see the same Flacco in 2015.
