Wild Card Matchup: Cincinnati Bengals (10-5-1) vs. Indianapolis Colts (11-5)
TV Schedule: Sunday, Jan. 4, 1:05 p.m. ET, CBS
Stadium: Lucas Oil Stadium
Line: Indianapolis (-3.5)
The Indianapolis Colts and Cincinnati Bengals will meet up in this must-see matchup. After all, this is the playoffs we are talking about.
The Bengals have had some ups and downs in 2014, but they did win five out of their last seven contests. They lost the last one, but it was played on the road against the Pittsburgh Steelers. The game before, Cincy beat the Denver Broncos, showing fans that they can take out anyone in the NFL.
With that said, the Bengals will have their hands full against Andrew Luck and co. this weekend.
Speaking of Luck, he threw 40 TDs on the season. He also threw 4,761 yards. So, yeah, containing Luck should be priority No. 1 for Cincinnati.
The Colts may have been blown out by the Dallas Cowboys in Week 16, but they managed to bounce back in Week 17. They also won five of their last six games. The running game may have been a disappointment this season, but it helps when you have an elite QB like Luck.
Either team is capable of pulling off the victory and advancing in the playoffs, but it is really hard to go against the home team, especially one as good as Indianapolis. In the end, Indy has my vote to win this ballgame.
PREDICTION: Bengals 21, Colts 28
