The Washington Redskins do not have a lot to be excited about entering the 2015 offseason, though it was nice to hear about Jim Haslett's departure from the team. There are many other issues they need to address over the coming months, however, and first on their list will be figuring out what to do with the relationship between Jay Gruden and Robert Griffin III. Here are some other things to keep an eye on concerning D.C. football.

This will be a key issue. Colt McCoy could be D.C.'s best option for QB competition next summer, but there might be a way for them to get one in the draft as well. Something tells me Griffin would respond with his hardest working offseason if the Redskins drafted a real threat to his position.

The offense's excuses are well known by this point, and the Redskins would be wise to spend a bit more on the defensive side this offseason. Obviously, injuries to players like Brian Orakpo and DeAngelo Hall were a huge part of their struggle, and reserves are also an issue that must be focused on.

RB Alfred Morris was able to find lanes during his rookie season due to the threat of Griffin, but defenses have now begun to realize the QB's limitations athletically and in the pocket. The Redskins need to find that balance between running and passing once again.

It is a classic Daniel Snyder move to overspend on a veteran way past his prime, and the Redskins definitely do not need another Albert Haynesworth on next year's squad. I'm sure it will happen again though.

It already stinks that for casual fans to see a game they must take Metro trains towards outer Maryland, but they also have to overspend on tickets and snacks for a team that does not deserve it. Some recompense must be made for all this disappointment.
