You don't have to pay attention to the Minnesota Vikings to know that they like to wheel-and-deal come draft day. General manager Rick Spielman has turned a lot of his draft-day deals into quality starters in Minnesota, such as last year's decision to move up and select Teddy Bridgewater. As of right now, the Vikings only have one first round pick, but if Spielman wants a guy, he'll do what he can to move up and snag him.

1st Round, Pick 11: Brandon Scherff, OT/OG, Iowa

Where Brandon Scherff goes in the NFL draft all depends on where teams view him from a positional prospective in the NFL. The fact that he projects better as an offensive guard at the next level may drop him out of the top 10, which will make the Vikings ecstatic. If you pair him up with Matt Kalil on the left side, they may be set for years to come.

2nd Round, Pick 45: Jaelen Strong, WR, Arizona State

The last time the Vikings took a wide receiver in Round 2 was in 2007 when they selected Sydney Rice out of South Carolina. Like Rice, Jaelen Strong is a tall athlete who won’t burn many corners on a streak, but he’s a great route runner with strong hands who will create separation. There is no doubt that he would push for a starting spot if he's drafted by Minnesota.

3rd Round, Pick 76: Eric Kendricks, LB, UCLA

Eric Kendricks is a brother to Philadelphia Eagles’ Mychal Kendricks, so you know he has potential. The record setter in terms of career tackles for the UCLA Bruins, Kendricks can bolster the Vikings’ linebacker corps right away whether he’s a starter or a spot player.

4th Round, Pick 107: EJ Bibbs, TE, Iowa State

When Kyle Rudolph went down with an injury early in the 2014 season, the Vikings’ offense struggled. Chase Ford picked up some of the slack with Rhett Ellison, but it isn’t enough in a Norv Turner type offense. EJ Bibbs was first-team Big 12 this season who is an all-around great athlete. He could have a similar role that Charles Clay has had in Miami.

5th Round, Pick 141: Kyshoen Jarrett, SS, Virginia Tech

Kyshoen Jarrett’s best asset are his big hits. He was, however, a key player in their win against Ohio State in the beginning of the season, intercepting two passes and accumulating five tackles. He’d make a better special teams and role player who could fill in for Robert Blanton when needed.

6th Round, Pick 172: CJ Olaniyan, DE, Penn State

Brian Robinson under-performed this last season after signing a shiny new million contract last spring. Don’t be surprised if Scott Crichton assumes the starting end position opposite Everson Griffen. CJ Olaniyan would be a great fit and provide depth for Mike Zimmer in his 4-3 defense.

7th Round, Pick 203: Justin Coleman, CB, Tennessee

Mike Zimmer loves his defense and has a knack for developing cornerbacks. Justin Coleman, 5-foot-10, 188 pounds, would merely be depth at nickelback for the Vikings' defense and at special teams.
