Divisional Round Matchup: Indianapolis Colts (11-5) vs. Denver Broncos (12-4)
TV Schedule: Sunday, Jan. 11, 4:40 p.m. ET, CBS
Stadium: Sports Authority Field at Mile High
Line: Denver (-7)
Something tells me Peyton Manning is going to be pretty pumped up to play this game. After all, he is playing against his former team. Regardless, with the conference championship on the line, both teams will without a doubt be going all out in this one.
The last time these two teams met, which was actually the first game of the season, the Indianapolis Colts lost by the score of 31-24. That game was played on the road for the Colts. Unfortunately, this game will be as well.
If Indy has any chance of winning this contest, it is going to have to stop C.J. Anderson, and Andrew Luck will have to have a great outing. Oh yeah, the Colts will also have to limit one of the best players to ever play the game, which is, of course, Manning. It is the Colts who already have a playoff win, though.
The Broncos had last week off, so they should be well-rested for this one. Well-rested or not, they will be playing in front of their fans, and are looking to make the Super Bowl for the second straight season.
Although we very well could see a shootout between these two teams, look for Anderson to carry the Broncos on the ground once again, and for Denver to advance to the next round.
PREDICTION: Colts 27, Broncos 35
