When it comes to frustrating franchises in the NFL, it’s safe to say no fan base has it as bad as the Cleveland Browns–who haven’t seen a playoff game since 2003. In honor of the team falling short of the playoffs yet again this past season, the wonderful Angry Browns Fan has decided to help Cleveland fans get through another long offseason with a Billy Joel parody to “We Didn’t Start the Fire” about the Browns not making the playoffs–and it’s just as awesome as you think it sounds.
As you can see in the video above, the Angry Browns Fan goes through an entire list of just about everything that has happened since the Browns lost to the Pittsburgh Steelers in the playoffs back in January 2003–including the 2007 season in which the team still fell short of the postseason despite winning 10 games with Derek Anderson at quarterback.
The sad thing about this parody video is there was a time during the 2014 season where it looked like the Browns were actually going to end their playoff drought after jumping out to a 7-4 start. Instead, the team fell apart as they scored 13 points or less in four of their final five games and finished the year with a 7-9 record.
With all of the questions surrounding Johnny Manziel, Brian Hoyer, and the quarterback position, it’s safe to say Angry Browns Fan could be providing us with another awesome Browns parody at this time next year–which we honestly can’t really complain about.
