With the amount of hits he’s taking against the Green Bay Packers, it’s safe to say Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo is going to be quite sore on Monday morning. While Romo has made some impressive throws so far against the Packers, the argument can be made that no throw was as impressive as the one he tried to make to Dez Bryant in the third quarter–with his eyes closed.
As you can see in the video above, Romo knew the hit from Julius Peppers was coming. Instead of just accepting the sack, Romo decided to just throw the ball in Bryant’s direction with his eyes closed and hope for the best–which luckily drew a big pass interference call against the Packers.
Even if the pass fell way short of Bryant, you have to give Romo credit for somehow pulling off this miraculous play. The sad thing is, the argument can now be made that Romo makes better throws with his eyes closed than Brandon Weeden does with his eyes open (that last joke about Weeden was for you Cleveland Browns fans).
As for the rest of this game between the Cowboys and Packers, we can’t wait to see what’s in store for the fourth quarter between these two teams considering both Romo and Aaron Rodgers appear to be pretty banged up.
