5 Players Who Will Be Released by New York Giants in 2015 Offseason

The New York Giants were a huge disappointment in 2014. They went from a possible division winner to a 6-10 finish. There needs to be change on this team if they want to be a contender once again. With the emergence of some young talent, that will make higher priced veterans expendable. Here are five that will probably be released by the Giants in the offseason.

Jayron Hosley started the season by being suspended for four games. Then he ended the season by being one of the weakest links in the Giants' secondary. He currently has one year left on his rookie contract, but he will not be able to finish up the contract.

The Giants have given Rueben Randle multiple chances to show he can be a true No. 2 receiver on this team. He was forced in that role this season, and he played well. Unfortunately, there just won't be room for him in 2015 with Odell Beckham Jr. and Victor Cruz returning. It may be a situation where he forces his way out if he doesn't get a better pay day.

Peyton Hillis is somehow signed for next season. He is making less than million, none of which is guaranteed. In nine games, he has 115 yards. There is just no point in keeping him on the roster.

Cullen Jenkins just hasn't been the same player since coming over from the Philadelphia Eagles. He only had 16 tackles and one sack last season, a stark finish from where he was last year. It may depend on the Giants' confidence that he can bounce back, but it seems like Jenkins will have to look for a new team in 2015.

Jon Beason was one of the most head-scratching signings of the season. After an injury-plagued career, the Giants still gave him a three-year, million contract. They will have to eat around .8 million, but there is a chance they could get nothing from him for over million.
