In June of 2014, Leah Still, the daughter of Cincinnati Bengals DT Devon Still, was diagnosed with stage 4 neuroblastoma. She has been a strong little girl through all of it and has a lot of support from her family and the entire Bengals community through this difficult time.
On Monday, Devon delivered some heartbreaking news via Instagram, that his daughter’s battle with cancer isn’t over. Everyone was hoping and praying that Leah would be cancer-free after seven months of fighting, but it looks as though the fight will continue. And I believe if anyone can come out on top, it is Leah.
The free, loving spirit of this young girl is not only adorable — it is inspiring. Any time she is on camera, whether it’s running to greet her dad at the airport or fist-pumping the camera on the way to the hospital, Leah has a glowing smile on her face, not letting the hardships she’s gone through show one bit. What a great role model she has become at such a young age.
While this must be hard on Devon and the rest of the family, I believe Leah’s uplifting spirit is what’s getting everyone through this tough time. The recent news may be disappointing, but that’s no reason to be discouraged. It just means that you fight even harder and become more determined not to let cancer win. Prayers go out to Leah and the Still family. #LeahStrong #BeatCancer
