The Kansas City Chiefs' front office should be very busy this offseason. Rumors are already spreading about what the team will do in free agency. Here are five you need to know.

Last year, Houston sat out of offseason workouts in a failed effort to get a new deal. According to Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk, this time around he'll be with the team from the get-go. Houston reportedly plans on signing his franchise tender very soon after the window opens on Feb. 16.

Terez Paylor of the Kansas City Star reports that the free agent is aiming for a contract that averages around $ 7 million per season. With Houston getting his franchise deal and the Chiefs having several more holes to fill, making Hudson one of the highest-paid centers in the NFL doesn't seem to be in the cards.

Hali has publicly stated he is willing to restructure his contract to stay with the Chiefs. The 31-year-old pass-rusher is set to make just under $ 12 million in 2015. Hali's heir apparent, Dee Ford, showed promise in 2014, but he hardly looked ready for a full-time gig. The Chiefs would benefit greatly if the two sides can agree on terms.

2. Cuts

The Chiefs recently signed Terrelle Pryor, which gives KC four quarterbacks. If the team cuts Daniel to get down to three, $ 3.8 million will be saved. Wide receivers Dwayne Bowe and Donnie Avery are also very likely to be cut, as both players have proven not to be worth the big money the Chiefs would save by cutting them. DE Mike DeVito and ILB Joe Mays could also be released, but both have a better shot at staying than Daniel, Bowe and Avery.

This could be a bunch of smoke being blown out of Maclin's camp to boost his value, because staying with the Philadelphia Eagles makes so much more sense for everybody involved. Maclin has been far more productive under Chip Kelly than the man who drafted him, Andy Reid. Maclin is expected to pull a contract of about $ 10 million per season, and that would be very difficult for KC to swing.
