As many of you know, the world-side sensation “50 Shades of Grey” hit theaters last night, with women everywhere hoping to feast their eyes on the sex-driven movie based on the erotic book by the same title. However, it appears that there were more than just curious women out hoping to get a glimpse of the shades. Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson got a peak at “50 Shades of Grey” on Thursday night despite the controversy surrounding the film, and gave his review on the film via Twitter.
Saw a movie filmed in the town I call home. Provocative/disturbing no doubt but that does not make me less Faithful. Have a blessed day! — Russell Wilson (@DangeRussWilson) February 13, 2015
His tweets were met with some resistance, but leave it to the oh-so-innocent Wilson to find the positive in such a… unique film.
“@DangeRussWilson: Thanks for the early showing of #50ShadesOfGrey…Great movie.” Just lost respect for the guy usually tweeting about God.

@DangeRussWilson seeing is your own business. Endorsing it is the issue. Your life is your own, but using your influence for that film yikes
