Washington Redskins' 5 Potential Playoff Opponents in 2015

NFL: Philadelphia Eagles at Washington Redskins
Brad Mills-USA TODAY Sports

The Washington Redskins should be aiming for the playoffs in the 2015-16 season, but is that a realistic goal? It might not be, however, they must still try their best to achieve success. Some upgrades during the NFL Draft and free agency would definitely help matters, and these are five teams DC could meet in the playoffs next year.

Wouldn't this be a highly rated game? It seems like long ago that Jerry Jones was dreading the prospect of Robert Griffin III being in the NFC East for a decade, and this would definitely be an interesting playoff matchup.

It might be insane to consider three NFC East teams in the playoffs, but this game could deliver a lot of intensity. No matter what building it took place in, this would be a barnburner that shouldn't be missed.

Griffin performed admirably against the New Orleans Saints during his first NFL regular season game, and it would be no different in the postseason. The enigmatic QB tends to show up at the big moments; at least he did during his rookie year.

This would obviously only happen in the Super Bowl, but can't the Redskins dream big too? DC defeated the Miami Dolphins once in the big game, and doing it again would be even sweeter after such a long absence from championship play.

It might be crazy, but I am betting on the San Francisco 49ers to make it back to the playoffs after dismissing head coach Jim Harbaugh. A matchup against Washington might likely end up in victory for San Francisco, and this would be a hyped game between multiple Super Bowl winners.

Eddie Lacy Could Barely Handle 30-Yard Run

Eddie Lacy is a short yardage specialist, and when he breaks these long runs he definitely will come out of the game every time. This huge run setup the Packers' go-ahead touchdown and they would never look back. Lacy would get his later in the game.
