The 2015 Baltimore Ravens draw the AFC and NFC west divisions in a schedule that’s not too friendly on mileage. Hopefully John Harbaugh has a great movie library for these long flights, otherwise it’ll be a long season for Baltimore.

13. Pittsburgh Steelers

Big Ben Roethlisberger may have his best weapons since 2008. Antonio Brown is now a proven star and Le’Veon Bell could be a proven workhorse. The Steelers’ defense is still suspect, but not to the point where Pittsburgh drops to anything worse than a 10-6 team.

12. Seattle Seahawks

This year’s incarnation of the Seahawks could be better than what we saw in 2014. Adding Jimmy Graham, avoiding an early retirement from Marshawn Lynch and Russell Wilson a year improved make this team the scariest in the NFC. Luckily the Ravens will have Seattle in Baltimore and won’t have to deal with the 12th man.

11. St. Louis Rams

I’m expecting the Rams to finally finish leap-frogging the San Francisco 49ers and give the Arizona Cardinals a tough run for second place. Of course, this is if Nick Foles or the Rams’ first round draft pick can stay healthy for 16.

Colin Kaepernick may look even more lost as this franchise hits the turbulence of transition. The 49ers parted with arguably the best coach in the league and now must see if Jim Tomsula was a strong branch from Jim Harbaugh’s tree.

9. Denver Broncos

Peyton Manning still has weapons and should still know how to use them. The Broncos will still be a three touchdown-per-game threat and the Ravens will have to deal with this old octane on the road.

8. Oakland Raiders

Jack Del Rio is back to coaching and I think the Raiders will soon get back to winning. The Silver and Black desperately need hope and Del Rio and Derek Carr could be the duo that fulfills some lofty standards.

7. Arizona Cardinals

From a good coach (Del Rio) to a great coach (Bruce Arians), the Arizona Cardinals will once again be a contender. If the Seahawks weren’t so loaded, I’d give the Cardinals the NFC West crown.

6. Miami Dolphins

The Dolphins performed subtraction by addition through signing Ndamukong Suh. Although a phenomenal run stuffer and pass rusher, Suh takes up too much of the ticket. I’m calling reverse-Ewing-Theory on this one, and the Dolphins regress to somewhere around 6-10.

5. Cincinnati Bengals

If you were to be cryogenically frozen, but also got to pick the year which you were reanimated, whichever year you came back would probably be a 10-win year for the Bengals. Although severely hyperbolic, it just feels feasible. 2015 will be another decent campaign for Cincinnati.

4. Cleveland Browns

Semi-stout defense, and very uncertain offense is the best way to describe the Cleveland Browns. Expect the Browns to go 8-8 but still give the Ravens predictable division-rival issues.

3. Kansas City Chiefs

Andy Reid averages 9.4 wins per year and rarely puts up a bad campaign. The Chiefs will be looking to upstage the aging Broncos and could view Baltimore as getting in the way.

2. Jacksonville Jaguars

The Jaguars are trending down and it’s not evident if Blake Bortles is the answer at QB. NFL teams need quarterbacks like infants need folic acid. Jacksonville has to address this issue before they can address becoming a team of Baltimore’s caliber.

1. San Diego Chargers

The Chargers travel to Baltimore in 2015. If it’s a 1 p.m. game, this will be a serious advantage for a Ravens’ team that doesn’t really need one. Too many questions at running back for the Chargers and not enough answers with Philip Rivers.
