5 Bold Predictions For Tennessee Titans in 2015 NFL Draft

The Tennessee Titans are more desperate than most teams to hit it off in the 2015 NFL Draft, because their recent history with top-nine picks is awful. All three of their last top-nine picks have been considered busts, so Tennessee needs to either trade out of the spot or find a superstar. Rebuilding is going to be a long road for Tennessee; here are five bold predictions for the 2015 NFL Draft.

Tennessee is desperate for depth along the offensive line. Don’t be surprised if the Titans use multiple picks on offensive linemen.

The Titans have two sixth-round picks, so they have some trade bait if they want to move up a few spots to snag a wide receiver that they like. Look for this to be around the fourth round.

No. 3 Don’t Take a Quarterback Until Fifth Round or Later

The Tennessee Titans will probably take a quarterback at some point in the draft, but not until late. Mettenberger seems to be Ken Whisenhunt’s guy at the moment.

No. 2 Trade Cleveland Browns for No. 2 Pick

It’s highly unlikely that the Titans and Chargers will agree on a trade for Phillip Rivers, so the team that can bring the most to the table would be the Browns. A trade with Cleveland for the No. 2 pick is the most likely scenario, and I believe it will happen.

Personally, as a Titans’ fan, I would be happy trading the No. 2 pick for nothing more than both of the Browns’ first-round picks. That’s how badly this team needs players.

No. 1 Fans Will Be Unhappy No Matter What Happens

No matter what happens with the No. 2 pick, fans are not going to be happy. The only thing that is going to make the fan base happy again is winning, and it’s going to be a long road until the Titans jump back into the playoff picture.
