5 Bold Predictions For Cowboys vs. Dolphins In NFL Week 11

The Dallas Cowboys may have to win seven straight if they are to make the playoffs. However, to do that, they will need to win one first. Yes, the logic is quite simple, but it's all about taking one game at a time. Their first test with Tony Romo will be to play the surging Dan Campbell-led Miami Dolphins. Here are five bold predictions.

It's no secret that Ryan Tannehill is prone to turning the football over when the pocket collapses. The Cowboys haven't gotten a ton of pressure on the quarterback in recent weeks, but with Romo returning, the offense will be able to sustain drives, which will keep the defense off the field for long periods of rest. This is why I believe Greg Hardy, Demarcus Lawrence and Tyrone Crawford will get home a lot in this game.

4. Jay Ajayi Gets More Carries Than Lamar Miller

Over the past two weeks, the Dolphins have been using a lot of Jay Ajayi in their offense. Unlike Lamar Miller, Ajayi gives them a bruising back who can be used in the workhorse role. Miller is more of a hybrid receiver. The Dolphins are showing more and more that they like Ajayi which is why I believe the rookie will get more carries than Miller.

Over the past few weeks, Darren McFadden has handled the starting role really well. He hasn't done anything special, but he's been the Cowboys' most consistent running back this season. With Romo back, McFadden will no longer have to go against loaded defensive fronts. This should do wonders for the injury-prone veteran.

By the looks of it, Romo has been about ready to return for around two weeks now, but because of the short-term IR list, he had to sit out eight games. Now back and healthy, the Cowboys no longer become laughingstocks in the bottom of the NFC East. I'm guessing Romo will be able to throw for around 265 yards and three touchdowns in this game.

With a player of Romo's caliber returning from injury, I don't see the Cowboys losing this must-win game. Dallas has playoff aspirations, but to make it there, they will need to rally for an impeccable winning streak. This team will respond to Romo's presence and it will be the reason why they win by a comfortable margin.
