Top 20 Picks In 2016 NFL Mock Draft

The regular season is over, and for fans of teams that didn’t make the postseason, the next step is the NFL Draft. The top 20 picks have been determined for the non-playoff teams pending future trades. These 20 players would hear their names called first if the 2016 NFL Draft was held today.

1. Tennessee Titans: Laremy Tunsil, OL, Ole Miss

Marcus Mariota is the biggest investment that the Titans so protecting him is priority No. 1. Tunsil is the best offensive lineman in this year's draft and an immediate starter at left tackle. His arrival would move Taylor Lewan to either guard position or right tackle, which upgrades two positions with just one player.

2. Cleveland Browns: Joey Bosa, DL, Ohio State

Cleveland has plenty of needs heading into next season so selecting the best player available is a good start. Cleveland's defensive line was porous to say the least this year. Bosa was dominant at Ohio State and he can be the disruptor up front that the Browns have lacked for years.

3. San Diego: Vernon Hargreaves III, DB, Florida

San Diego won't have to worry about Peyton Manning within the AFC West much longer, but the secondary needs an upgrade. Hargreaves III is a shutdown corner from day one and he can be the guy that can lock onto the opponent's No. 1 receiver and slow them down. If this scenario happens, Brandon Flowers can be moved inside as a slot corner where he excels or even at safety if San Diego lets Eric Weddle go in the offseason.

4. Dallas: Robert Nkemdiche, DL, Ole Miss

Dallas has a scary good defensive front with Greg Hardy, Demarcus Lawrence and Randy Gregory, but they don't a guy in the middle who can cause double-teams and take up more than one blocker. Nkemdiche was the second-best defensive lineman in the country this season behind Bosa, and despite his recent off-field issues, Jerry Jones has no problem taking talented players with character flaws.

5. Jacksonville: Ronnie Stanley, OL, Notre Dame

Jacksonville has a very exciting offense, but the offensive line needs an overhaul. Luke Joeckel hasn't been the left tackle the Jaguars expected as the No. 2 overall pick in 2013. Stanley is a plug and play left tackle and his arrival would move Joeckel over to the right side.

6. Baltimore: Ezekiel Elliott, RB, Ohio State

Justin Forsett has done an admirable job replacing Ray Rice as the Ravens' featured running back, but he is a career journeyman who had one good season and is coming off an injury. Elliott was dominant at Ohio State and performed well in the clutch, especially last season. The Ravens need to have an identity on offense and Elliott could be the go-to guy given the question marks at wide receiver.

7. San Francisco: Jared Goff, QB, California

The 49ers already passed up a former Golden Bear QB in the draft in Aaron Rodgers a decade ago and they won't make that same mistake here with Goff. He is the best quarterback prospect in this year's draft and would be an immediate upgrade over Colin Kaepernick and Blaine Gabbert.

8. Miami: Jalen Ramsey, DB, Florida State

The Dolphins need help on both sides of the ball, but stopping Tom Brady and the Patriots' offense has to be priority No. 1. Ramsey is the second-best defensive back in this year's class behind Hargreaves III, but he is more versatile and has more upside. Ramsey can play both corner positions as well as safety.

9. Tampa Bay: Emmanuel Ogbah, DL, Oklahoma State

Tampa Bay has an exciting young defense, but they need an edge rusher who can strike fear in opposing offenses. Ogbah has been a beast for each of the past two seasons and he will get plenty of one-on-one matchups with Gerald McCoy plugging up the middle.

10. New York Giants: Derrick Henry, RB, Alabama

The Rashad Jennings and Andre Williams backfield tandem has been a major disappointment in each of the past two seasons and the Giants need an upgrade is needed immediately. Henry proved this year that he can carry the load by himself at Alabama and had one of the best seasons in college football history this season. Eli Manning needs a running back who can take pressure off him and Odell Beckham Jr. in the passing game, and Henry can be the guy to do that.

11. Chicago: Reggie Ragland, LB, Alabama

After many years of playing the 4-3, the Chicago Bears started using the 3-4 in 2015. Although they have some good pieces in place, they need a signal caller for their defense in the middle and the best 3-4 inside linebacker is Ragland. He played the same scheme at Alabama and is an excellent run defender. He would add to a long list of outstanding middle linebackers in Chicago like Dick Butkus, Mike Singletary and Brian Urlacher.

12. New Orleans: Laquon Treadwell, WR, Ole Miss

Marques Colston has been a great receiver for the Saints for a decade, but his play has slipped and he can no longer be counted on as a No. 1 receiver. Treadwell is the best receiver in this year's class and he will give Drew Brees a big target to throw to, especially in the red zone. Drafting Treadwell could also move Brandin Cooks into the slot where he's most effective.

13. Philadelphia: Paxton Lynch, QB, Memphis

Following Chip Kelly's dismissal, Sam Bradford won't likely remain with the Eagles following a pedestrian season. Lynch is the second-best quarterback in this year's class behind Goff, and despite a poor bowl game against Auburn, he has all the tools to become a franchise quarterback. He is raw compared to the other quarterbacks ahead of him, but he has tremendous upside.

14. Oakland: Jaylon Smith, LB, Notre Dame

Jaylon Smith was the top linebacker heading into this year's draft, but a serious knee injury in the Fiesta Bowl will hurt his stock going forward. He will likely miss the start of the 2016 season, but the Raiders won't hesitate to pull the trigger on a sideline-to-sideline linebacker who can play all three downs.

15. St. Louis: Connor Cook, QB, Michigan State

The Rams face a lot uncertainty heading into the 2016 season, but in order to start contending, they must address the quarterback position. Simply put, Nick Foles or Case Keenum can't get this team to the postseason. Cook is the best remaining quarterback on the board and despite a poor bowl game performance against Alabama, he is a solid prospect who can make the Rams better right away.

16. Detroit: Taylor Decker, OL, Ohio State

The Lions have major issues on the offensive line and they need a restart at that position. Decker is a solid, all-around offensive lineman who excels in both pass blocking and run blocking. He can play either tackle position or either guard position.

17. Atlanta: Myles Jack, LB, UCLA

Atlanta's defense still needs playmakers despite bringing Vic Beasley aboard last season. Myles Jack is coming off a season-ending injury, but he's a three-down linebacker who is versatile enough to cover running backs and even slot receivers if need be.

18. Indianapolis: Jack Conklin, OL, Michigan State

The Colts need major help along the offensive line and Andrew Luck would also appreciate some better blocking up front. Conklin isn't an elite athlete by any stretch, but he's a solid technician who can excel at either tackle or guard.

19. Buffalo: Shaq Lawson, DL, Clemson

Mario Williams is likely out of Buffalo so finding another edge rusher should be priority No. 1 for Rex Ryan and the Bills. Lawson has had an outstanding season so far for the undefeated Clemson Tigers and he would be a great addition alongside Marcell Dareus and Kyle Williams if Buffalo decides to let Mario Williams go.

20. New York Jets: Leonard Floyd. LB, Georgia

In Todd Bowles' first season with the Jets, New York recorded 38 sacks, but only eight came from the outside linebacker position. Lorenzo Mauldin, a rookie, led this unit with four sacks, but Calvin Pace only recorded three and 2012 first-round pikc Quinton Coples had zero. Floyd is the best remaining pass rusher here and worst case scenario, he moves inside when David Harris begins to break down.
