5 Reasons Why Denver Broncos Will Win Super Bowl 50

Following a Week 15 road loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Denver Broncos‘ playoff hopes were hanging in the balance. It was still possible that Gary Kubiak‘s team could miss the playoffs completely, but instead of sulking, the Broncos went out and won their last two games and clinched the No. 1 seed in the AFC. With their first playoff game coming up on Saturday, a rematch against the Steelers, here are five reasons why the Broncos will win it all.

5. Blossoming Running Game

After struggling to run the ball all season long, the Broncos found success towards the end of the season with a tandem of Ronnie Hillman and C.J. Anderson. While the three remaining potential opponents in the AFC have elite run defenses, with Peyton Manning back, they'll have to gameplan for the passing game which should open up plenty of running lanes.

4. Defense

The Broncos will bring the league's No. 1 defense into the playoffs which is huge this time of year. While passing has become easier since the league instituted its new rules, playing defense and running the ball is still the best formula to win the Super Bowl.

3. Easy Road

In the Divisional Round, the Broncos will get a Steelers team that will be without leading receiver Antonio Brown, leading rusher DeAngelo Williams and will have a dinged up Ben Roethlisberger at quarterback. Assuming the Patriots get by the Chiefs, the Broncos will get a dinged up Tom Brady, Rob Gronkowski and Julian Edelman. The Broncos are the healthiest team left in the conference which should push them right through to the Super Bowl where the real test will come.

2. Von Miller

Now that Miller is over a bout of food poisoning from a bad batch of movie theater mozzarella sticks, he should be ready to wreak havoc in the playoffs. Although he only finished with 11 sacks this season, MIller is near unblockable when playing his best.

1. Peyton Manning

I don't care how much the Broncos tried to convince us, there was no way the team was ever going to win Super Bowl 50 with Brock Osweiler at quarterback. With Manning returning, it sets up the perfect scenario for him to ride off into the sunset with three more wins and his second Super Bowl title.

Von Miller Expertly Trolls Cam Newton On 'Saturday Night Live'

Denver Broncos linebacker Von Miller has been a certified savage since winning Super Bowl MVP last Sunday. On 'Saturday Night Live', Miller expertly trolled Cam Newton during his short skit. Considering how much celebrating Newton did all season, he's going to continue to be on the wrong end of jokes all offseason, and deservedly so.
