5. RB James Starks

Chiefs general manager John Dorsey was working in Green Bay when Starks was drafted in 2010, and with Jamaal Charles working his way back from the second torn ACL of his career, the team has questions at running back. Starks has already said he wants to find an opportunity to start, and Kansas City could at least provide him with a chance to compete.

4. OT Jake Long

Kansas City allowed 46 sacks (tied for sixth-most in the league) during the regular season, so adding some offensive line help should be an offseason priority. Long eventually landed with the Atlanta Falcons this past season (appearing in four games) and injuries have derailed his career in recent years, but the Chiefs should have some interest in the former No. 1 overall pick as a low-cost depth option.

3. OT/OG Mike Harris

Harris is a tackle by trade, but he started 16 games (17 counting playoffs) at right guard for the Minnesota Vikings this season. That versatility should appeal to the Chiefs, and signing Harris won't require breaking the bank.

2. S Eric Berry

Berry is a great story, from cancer survivor in 2014 back to Pro Bowl form this past season. Other teams will surely come with big contract offers, but the Chiefs should make retaining Berry their top in-house priority during free agency this offseason,

1. WR Mohamed Sanu

The Chiefs should be looking to add talent at wide receiver this offseason, though it's not a particularly deep free agent class at the position. Sanu brings versatility to the table, with multiple touchdowns rushing and passing during his career, and as a bigger receiver (6-foot-2, 210 pounds) without great downfield speed, he looks like a nice fit with quarterback Alex Smith.
