Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton and his family were recently driving through the Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas area when they realized that two of their suitcases had fallen out of the bed of their truck. Instead of wasting the time to re-track their steps, Dalton took to social media to ask if anyone traveling in that area had come across two black suitcases.
If anybody in DFW traveling from 75-635 towards the airport finds 2 black suitcases on the road please contact me. Fell out bed of our truck

Thanks for those spreading the word. If you happen to have them, send a pic. And trust me…I know this is a long shot. #bagsearch2016

Then Dalton’s prayers were answered from a guy with the Twitter handle of @RobertL34783517.
I dropped off what may be your bags with Richardson Police this afternoon. Found around 5 am in Richardson https://t.co/9AKDY4gkFr

And finally the search was over:

This story truly shows the power of social media. While Dalton likely would’ve never found his bags had he not been a professional athlete, it’s nice to see social media used for a good for a change.
