The Washington Redskins lay claim to one of the most loyal fan bases in the NFL. Win or lose, they show up. They have one of the most passionate owners in all of sports. He’ll do whatever it takes to help this team win. In the past, that meant trying to achieve the quick fix in free agency. Nowadays, it appears they’ve realized the importance of the draft, and like every other team, they’re looking to improve. Here are five places they need to start.
5. Cornerback

This team continues snatching up cornerbacks, and they keep getting pushed around. They're too small to play up on receivers. They're not good enough to keep themselves from getting beaten deep, so here they are again looking to add more at corner.
4. Quarterback

Sorry to break the news to you, but Kirk Cousins is not the long-term answer. Yes, he beats teams with losing records. Yes, he's put up some numbers, but they obviously don't believe in him or he would have gotten something close to what he wanted.
3. Wide Receiver

Everybody they feel comfortable fielding is either slightly past their prime, or they're leveling off and may begin to decline pretty soon. This isn't a desperate spot they're in, but the Redskins are definitely paying too much for what they have.
2. Center

They're actually had one center on the roster most of the offseason, and he really just isn't that good. The theory is this is one of the areas of focus, but then again, it's been a need for a while and they haven't addressed it to this point.
1. Defensive Tackle

This is another area where they've needed some depth for a while, and now, they may lose two of the guys they already have. Defensive tackle needs to be where the Redskins go with one of their earlier picks. Time will tell if that actually happens.
