2016 NFL Draft: Baltimore Ravens Pre-Combine Seven-Round Mock

By Jacob Camenker

The Baltimore Ravens were one of the biggest disappointments in the AFC last season. After being expected to compete for a spot in the AFC Championship Game, the team sputtered thanks to countless injuries on both sides of the ball. Heading into 2016, there is a lot more optimism surrounding the team, but first they have to get better by drafting these players.

The Ravens could use one more solid defender on their interior line, and A'Shawn Robinson would fit the bill. He is a strong player with high upside who should be able to use his athleticism to help the team wreak havoc on opposing quarterbacks.

Why not add another pass rusher in the second round? Dodd had a terrific year for Clemson, and the Ravens need a young player to back up Terrell Suggs and Elvis Dumervil next season. Dodd will improve over time, so Ozzie Newsome should like him.

Steve Smith Sr. is coming off of an Achilles tear, and Breshad Perriman never played as a rookie. Needless to say, the Ravens need help at receiver. Lawler offers upside in the early third round and could end up starting early in his career.

Kelechi Osemele is hitting free agency and it is highly unlikely that the Ravens will retain him. Here is a potential replacement at left guard. Kirkland is a massive man who should be a good run blocker at the next level.

The Ravens need some extra depth at the corner position. They have talent, but they cannot stay healthy. Murray is a great fit in the fourth round and may not even be available if he tests well leading up to the draft.

Ryan Mallett is currently penciled in as Joe Flacco’s backup. Here is a little competition for him, as Sudfeld has some upside and could be a Tyrod Taylor-like project for the team.
