After another bad season in 2015, which earned them the No. 1 overall pick in the draft, the Tennessee Titans need a talent upgrade in a lot of areas. Outside of quarterback, where Marcus Mariota looks like a mainstay, virtually any other position on the roster could use some sort of reinforcement.
Free agency will of course come before the draft, and here are five free agents the Titans should pursue.

The Titans may turn primarily toward the draft for a wide receiver, but a veteran presence like Boldin would add good depth and bring a reliable target for Mariota.

4. S Rodney McLeod

McLeod heads into free agency off a productive season (81 total tackles, three forced fumbles), but he may fall by the wayside as the Rams re-sign others. The Titans have a significant need at safety made greater by the release of Michael Griffin.

3. C Alex Mack

Mack is expected to opt out of his contract with the Browns, and he'll be highly sought after if he's available. The veteran center has said winning will be important in any free agent decision, but the Titans should be ready with a big offer.

2. CB Casey Hayward

Hayward moved primarily into a slot role last season, but Pro Football Focus graded him as the Green Bay Packers' top cover corner. The Titans could target him as a potential No. 1 corner, and the fact he went to Vanderbilt can't hurt fan interest.

1. RB Doug Martin

Martin is in line to be overpaid on the heels of a well-timed contract year (1,402 rushing yards), but the Titans have a need at running back and plenty of cap space. New Titans general manager Jon Robinson also came from Tampa Bay's front office.
