In what can be described as a shocking development to absolutely no one, former Dallas Cowboys running back Joseph Randle was arrested early Sunday morning in Kansas on battery charges.

According to police in Wichita, Randle was arrested for hitting three people with his car, marijuana possession and busting into a home. The incident reportedly took place at a housewarming party in which Randle was ordered to leave. Randle hit the two homeowners and another man with his vehicle while exiting the premises.
Police Lt. James Espinoza told reporters on Monday that after leaving, Randle returned and subsequently broke into the house through the front door. He was found with marijuana on his person.
Randle is being held on a $100,000 bond for suspicion of aggravated battery, drug possession and criminal damage to property.
This is Randle’s third arrest since he was released by Dallas last fall. New details from his release suggest the Cowboys became aware that Randle was gambling on sports, which was the final straw in their relationship.
Randle, 24, was expected to play a major role in Dallas’ offense in 2015. He ultimately played in just six games, tallying 313 rushing yards and four TDs.
At just 24 years old, it’s hard to call anyone a lost cause. Randle has time to turn his life around and get on the right track. However, the chances of him ever playing in the NFL again appear to be slim-to-none, as he’s likely facing a one-year suspension at minimum after this latest incident.
