News broke on Thursday night that San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick has asked the franchise for permission to seek a trade partner. There are a number of NFL teams in need of help under center that should be checking in on the situation. Here’s a look at five which clearly fit that description.
5. Cleveland Browns

The Browns are expected to release Johnny Manziel within the next two weeks. Many believe Cleveland will take a quarterback early in the draft, but head coach Hue Jackson is a fan of Kaepernick's and undoubtedly will consider bringing him to town.
4. New York Jets

Ryan Fitzpatrick played well for the Jets in 2015, but he took them as far as he could and ever will be able to. Thus, adding Kaepernick to the mix is surely something to consider, especially since he expressed a desire to join the team this winter.
3. Houston Texans

The Texans have a ton of talent and could be a playoff team again in 2016, but they are never going to truly compete with the AFC's elite until they replace Brian Hoyer under center. Kaepernick makes plenty of sense in Houston.

The Eagles aren't going to give in to Sam Bradford's absolutely outrageous contract demands, and we all know Mark Sanchez isn't the answer under center in Philadelphia. Chip Kelly could easily end up sending his current QB to his former team.

The Redskins and Kirk Cousins are having a hard time getting on the same page. If that relationship completely unravels, Washington would be wise to make an effort to acquire Kaepernick.
