5. CB Morris Claiborne

The Jets cut Antonio Cromartie after a bad 2015 season, so adding some cornerback depth looks possible in free agency. Claiborne should come cheaply, after a disappointing four-year run with the Dallas Cowboys, but the former top-10 overall pick still has the perception of youth (26 years old) in his favor.

4. OLB Nick Perry

The Jets need edge rushers, and due to a tough salary cap situation Brian Costello of the New York Post has mentioned Perry as a possible free agent target. He has just 12.5 regular season sacks over four seasons (46 games), but Perry did step up with 3.5 sacks in Green Bay's two playoff games last year.

The Jets are likely to let Chris Ivory leave in free agency, and it's possible they won't be able to re-sign Bilal Powell. Morris basically confirmed he won't be back with the Redskins over the weekend, so he could make sense for the Jets as a low-cost signing and a new No. 1 running back.

2. QB Ryan Fitzpatrick

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport has reported that Fitzpatrick is expected to hit the open market, after last week's speculation the Jets' offers have not reflected his market value. Fitzpatrick is not a long-term solution at 33 years old, but shy of an unlikely run at Brock Osweiler, the Jets don't have any better options to consider.

After getting a total of eight receptions from the position last season, the Jets have a glaring need at tight end. Green has underachieved to this point in his career, due mostly to playing behind Antonio Gates, but at just 26 years old by the time next season starts, he has plenty of upside at a potential bargain rate.
