After his first season with the Philadelphia Eagles turned out to be a disaster, it looks like DeMarco Murray is going to get a fresh start with the Tennessee Titans for the 2016 season.
News broke on Monday night regarding the Eagles finalizing a deal to send Murray to the Titans, even though the deal can’t actually go through until Wednesday. There was plenty of hype surrounding the arrival of Murray prior to the 2015 season, but the running back struggled to get things going in Chip Kelly‘s offense after rushing for just 702 yards to go along with six rushing touchdowns.

Even though Kelly is no longer a member of the Eagles, trading Murray comes as a major surprise when considering the fact the running back would receive a fresh start under new head coach Doug Pederson. Then again, with all of the rumors surrounding how unhappy Murray has been since his arrival in Philadelphia last season, this move was probably for the best.
Now, Murray will have the opportunity to play with one of the league’s up-and-coming stars in Marcus Mariota and hopefully give the Titans a reliable running back — which was a major issue throughout Mariota’s rookie season.
