The Browns have been searching for a solution at quarterback for nearly 20 years since returning to Cleveland. While it remains to be seen whether Griffin will be the answer, or just be another failure to add to the growing list, he was the best available option for the Browns.
It will be interesting to see if Cleveland will still target a quarterback with the No. 2 overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft, or if they will try and get some pieces to build around Griffin. He’s still only 26 years old, so a change of scenery could work like magic for him.
While there are still questions to answer for the Browns, signing Griffin was a move they had to make.
