Los Angeles Rams owner Stan Kroenke and the rest of the NFL drew the ire of the city of St. Louis when they allowed the team to relocate to Los Angeles. They felt like Kroenke refused to work with them and that he made the city’s economy out to be worse than it is.
With the wound still being fresh, a billboard was posted in Los Angeles by the company Popular Demand that has surely ruffled a few feathers.
Our latest billboard is now up! Los Angeles Ram’s stars Todd Gurley, Trumaine Johnson, Tavon Austin are all homies, so what better way to welcome the guys than a billboard in the middle of the busiest intersection in Hollywood? Over a million people will drive past this billboard and now they know how we’re feeling about the Rams big move. I can’t imagine St. Louis is going to be too happy with this one, but we love our city. #NoApologies #BlakeRicciardiTakeover #PopularDemand
While I tend to agree that the city of Los Angeles is better for the NFL than St. Louis, there’s no reason to take an unnecessary shot at another fanbase. Sure, the Rams were last in attendance in St. Louis, but at the same time, Kroenke didn’t do a great job of putting winning talent on the football field. So while Los Angeles is happy to have a football team again, it doesn’t necessarily mean that there will be longstanding success by the franchise in that city.
