ESPN made a big mistake by giving Greg Hardy a platform to talk about his domestic violence incident from 2014. Adam Schefter sat down with the free agent defensive end and asked him to tell his side of the story. What transpired was Hardy claiming his innocence, but yet admitting he did something wrong.
“I’ve never put my hand on any women…In my entire life, no sir. That’s just not how we’re raised. As you can tell, like I said again, it’s the Bible belt. It’s just something that’s, I wouldn’t even say frowned upon, just something that’s nonexistent in southern homes,” Hardy told Schefter.
Schefter responded, “You say you did nothing wrong, you’re innocent and yet the pictures of her that surfaced would seem to suggest a woman who had some type of physical contact. How do you explain that?”
” I will stop you right there and tell you that I didn’t say I didn’t do anything wrong. That situation occurred and that situation was handled but…saying that I didn’t do anything wrong is a stretch but saying I am innocent is correct. Yes sir,” Hardy answered.
After watching this clip in disbelief, Hardy’s former teammate Steve Smith took to Twitter to say what everyone was thinking.

When Schefter brought up the pictures of Nicole Holder’s injuries, Hardy had an excuse for those too.
“Pictures are pictures, and they can be made to look like whatever they want to,” he said.
I’m not sure what fantasyland Hardy is living in, but it’s not here on planet Earth. If Holder would’ve showed up for court, Hardy likely would’ve been in hot water. He’s just lucky that she decided to move on with her life instead of facing him in court.
