The Giants have spent big in free agency to upgrade their defense, which ranked last in the NFL in 2015. Right tackle, wide receiver, defensive end, cornerback, linebacker and safety are all positions that could use some attention, and the Giants figure to address some of those needs in this draft. They only have six picks entering this draft, and Reese needs to hit on almost every one of them in order to make up for some of the epic misses he has made in recent years.
Here is the Giants’ seven-round mock draft. Remember, they only have six picks this year due to last year’s Brad Wing trade.

Round 1: Leonard Floyd, OLB, Georgia

Leonard Floyd is an athletic freak who could have as much of an impact on the defense as Odell Beckham Jr. has had of the offense. Adding a blitzing LB who is also strong against the run would be a huge upgrade for Giants.

Round 2: Kendall Fuller, CB, Virginia Tech

The Giants need depth badly here, and Fuller is too good to pass up in the second round. The offense will have to wait.

The Giants find a potential playmaker in the third round. He could develop into an explosive weapon in this offense.

Round 4: Matt Judon, DE, Grand Valley State

You can’t argue with production. Matt Judon had 20 sacks last year, and while raw he has talent. You can never have enough pass rushers, and Judon could be part of a great rotation.

Round 5: Tyler Johnstone, OT, Oregon

He might not help right away but Johnstone has talent. Concerns over a knee injury in 2014 should be put to bed as he got better as 2015 went on. He could develop into starting right tackle or move to guard.

Round 6: Kevin Byard, S Middle Tennessee State

Kevin Byard is a cerebral football player and a leader on defense. He has a nose for the ball but can use work in coverage. There's lots of potential with a guy who could contribute on special teams and defense right away.
