The Buffalo Bills have not always made good use of their first-round draft picks in recent years. The pick of E.J. Manuel in 2013 has been disastrous, and while the selection of Sammy Watkins in 2014 has been good, the trade to get them deprived them of a first-round pick last year. If Buffalo is ever going to reach the playoffs, they have to draft better in the early rounds. During the 2016 NFL Draft, the Bills need to make sure they get one of these five players.

The Bills need to shore up their offensive line, and being able to draft Conklin would be a great way to do that. He could slot in at right tackle, or Conklin could even prove himself worthy of starting at left tackle and shift Cordy Glenn to right tackle. Either way, Buffalo would have a much stronger offensive line with Conklin.
4. Corey Coleman, Wide Receiver, Baylor

The Bills should definitely be considering an offensive playmaker with their first-round pick. Coleman isn't the prototypical NFL wideout because of his size, but his speed and athleticism make him a dangerous playmaker, especially when teams have to spend a lot of time focusing on stopping Sammy Watkins. A Coleman-Watkins tandem could really make the Buffalo offense go.
3. Taylor Decker, Offensive Tackle, Ohio State

Decker is a nice backup plan in case Conklin is off the board when the Bills pick at No. 19. Decker is another big, strong lineman from the Big 10 who will be ready to step into Buffalo's starting lineup right away and plug the hole the Bills have at right tackle.
2. Robert Nkemdiche, Defensive Line, Ole Miss

With the issues about his character, there's a good chance Nkemdiche is still on the board when it's Buffalo's turn to pick in the first round. Mario Williams is gone and the Bills may not be able to keep the rest of their defensive line intact beyond this year, making Nkemdiche a great fit both for Buffalo's present and future along the defensive line.
1. Kevin Dodd, Defensive End, Clemson

Dodd is highly likely to be available 19th overall, giving the Bills a perfect opportunity to replace Mario Williams and give themselves a pass rusher who can help get their defense back to the level it was in 2014 after struggling to get after the quarterback last season.
