If we’re being honest, there isn’t one person on the planet who doesn’t enjoy it when some misstep they’ve made along the way is made by the individual that made the most fun of them once upon a time for said mistake. Well, Washington Redskins, you got your chance on Thursday.
In case you’ve been living in a cave for the past 24, give or take, hours, the Los Angeles Rams traded for the No. 1 overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft with the Tennessee Titans and gave up a boatload of picks to do so. The immediate reaction of nearly everyone upon hearing of the deal was to recall the Rams-Redskins trade four years ago with similar compensation.
Of course, the Redskins weren’t going to let this prime opportunity to troll the Rams just pass them by:

And surely Rams writer Nick Wagoner couldn’t let this go and walk away:
BTW, today’s Rams coin toss captains were the six active roster players the team acquired using picks from the 2012 RG3 trade.

Obviously, it’s impossible to predict who will get the better of this trade (or this Twitter war) at the moment, but what’s not hard to forecast is that those who fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it.
Just sayin’.
