The Tennessee Titans won just three games in 2015 and will be looking to improve on that embarrassing number in 2016. With a rising star in quarterback Marcus Mariota, expectations for the Titans seem to be around six wins in 2016. Here are the five biggest games on the Titans’ 2016 schedule.

Sept. 11 vs. Minnesota Vikings — The Titans open the regular season against the Vikings at home. Minnesota boasts a stout defense and bruising running game, so an early win against a playoff team from last season could do wonders for the Titans confidence moving forward.

Sept. 25 vs. Oakland Raiders — The Titans should have beaten the Oakland Raiders away from home last season and will get another shot at them once again in 2016. Players from last season will remember this loss, and a win could be huge in the big picture.

Jan. 1 vs. Houston Texans — In the last game of the season, Tennessee may have a legitimate shot at the playoffs if the AFC South is as terrible as it was last season. Unfortunately, this one won't matter all that much if they do not win more games earlier in the schedule.

Oct. 27 vs. Jacksonville Jaguars — Tennessee must beat the Jaguars twice if they are to have even an inkling of a chance to make the playoffs.

Nov. 20 at Indianapolis Colts — With the easiest part of their schedule over, the Titans will travel to Indianapolis to face off with the Colts. Three AFC South games will have already been played at this point, so it is likely that this game is do-or-die.
