5 Players Tennessee Titans Must Avoid In 2016 NFL Draft

The Tennessee Titans smartly made the decision to trade away the No. 1 pick in the 2016 NFL Draft to the Los Angeles Rams and will now be picking at No. 15. With multiple potential starters available at this point of the draft at several different positions, the Titans cannot afford to reach or pick a player outside of their needs. Here are five guys who will all be talented NFL players, but the Titans must avoid then in order to build the team back up into a playoff contender.

Laquon Treadwell — Treadwell is a fantastic football player, but his speed is extremely concerning since a deep threat is what the Titans lack. Better to be safe than sorry, as the Titans should pass in order to draft a Will Fuller or Sterling Shepard in a later round.

Josh Doctson — Another player who will be great in the NFL, Doctson attacks the ball at its highest point. Unfortunately, Tennessee has much bigger needs at several other positions that should be available at No. 15 aside from wide receiver.

Corey Coleman — Can you see a trend? The Coleman pre-draft hype train is just now starting, so it would not be a surprise if he starts popping up in mock drafts close to the Titans’ pick. Tennessee needs much more than a receiver, or this could be a long season.

Jack Conklin — Okay, no more receivers, but yet another great player who the Titans should pass up on. With Taylor Lewan not yet a bust at the left tackle spot, forcing him to the right side and having a rookie on the left could be a disaster.

Myles Jack — One of my favorite players in the draft, Jack has the potential to be a superstar. Unfortunately for the Titans, Tennessee does not have the luxury of spending a first-round pick on a player coming off of an injury.
