The Dallas Cowboys finished dead last in the NFC East last season, but they will enter the 2016 season as one of the favorites to win the division. Dallas’ 2015 struggles were largely due to injuries to Dez Bryant and Tony Romo, who should both enter the season healthy, giving the Cowboys potentially one of the most dangerous offenses in the NFL. Here are the five biggest games on the Cowboys’ 2016 NFL schedule.

Sept. 18 at Washington Redskins — The Cowboys open divisional play against Washington on the road. Washington won the division last season, so it will be key for Dallas to prove themselves in their second game of 2016.

Oct. 16 at Green Bay Packers — In their first road game against a true Super Bowl contender, the Cowboys’ defense will get tested by Aaron Rodgers and Co. If the Cowboys manage to win this one, last year’s woes will be all but forgotten.

Oct. 30 vs. Philadelphia Eagles — Coming out of their bye week, the Cowboys will face the Eagles at home. Although the Eagles are expected to be a bad team, a crushing win over their rivals could fuel Dallas for the remainder of the season.

Nov. 24 vs. Washington Redskins — The Cowboys’ home matchup with Washington is Dallas’ last NFC East battle until the final game of the season. With Washington expected to be the Cowboys’ top competition to win the division, this game could be the difference maker.

Dec. 1 at Minnesota Vikings — A quick look at the Cowboys’ schedule will show you that Dallas has a relatively easy route to win the NFC East. If Dallas can get a win over Minnesota at home, they should be favored in the remaining four games to end the season.
