Round 1: Will Fuller, WR, Notre Dame

With a new quarterback, the Texans were wise to grab a wide receiver in the first round. Fuller has exceptional speed and should be a great complement to DeAndre Hopkins, giving Houston a formidable receiving duo for Brock Osweiler.

Round 2: Nick Martin, C, Notre Dame

This is another great pick by the Texans. Houston needed help on the offensive line, and Martin is as rock solid as they get. The Texans drafting him at No. 50 overall could turn into quite a steal.

Round 3: Braxton Miller, WR, Ohio State

The Texans didn't need a second wide receiver as much as they needed another offensive lineman, but Miller is a nice pickup. He has great speed, and once he gets more experience at wideout he has the skills to become a difference maker.

Round 4: Tyler Ervin, RB, San Jose State

This pick didn't exactly fill a pressing need, but Ervin will add an interesting dimension to Houston's offense. He can catch passes and be a third-down back, as well as an option in the kick return game, so Ervin has good versatility.

Round 5: K.J. Dillon, S, West Virginia

Again, this was not a pressing need for the Texans, but Dillon will add depth to the secondary and good physicality to the defense. He's not a future star, but there's good value in taking him in Round 5.

Round 5: D.J. Reader, DT, Clemson

Reader doesn't figure to play much as a rookie, but when Vince Wilfork retires the Texans are going to need him. This was a good pick for a couple years down the line, by which time Reader will be ready to be a regular contributor.
