New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick is famous for his ability to answer questions without actually saying anything. During his league mandated press conferences, he always seems like he’s grumpy, annoyed and generally doesn’t want to be there. While that may be how he feels about his NFL interviews, Belichick absolutely loves to talk about his second favorite sport: Lacrosse.
Belichick played lacrosse as a kid and so did his kids. He recently did an interview with Lacrosse Magazine where he was asked about what position Patriots quarterback Tom Brady would play on the lacrosse field.
“Put him in the goal,” the Patriots coach said. “He can’t run. I mean he can’t run. He can’t dodge, he can’t run.”
This is hilarious. When Belichick actually lets us see into his personality a little bit, you can tell he has a pretty good sense of humor. The next question was about Rob Gronkowski.
“If I could teach him any stickwork, I’d put him at crease attack let him go out and clear out and let him just go to the goal,” he said.
That sounds about right. Belichick also revealed that he will never tell his kids whether he was left-handed or right-handed on the lacrosse field because he took pride in being able to use both.
“I told my kids I’m never going to tell you what I am,” he said. “I’m never going to tell you what I am.”
