As has been expected all offseason, the Dallas Cowboys are reportedly set to cut quarterback Tony Romo loose on Thursday, according to NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport.
This will allow Romo to test the free agent market for the first time in his career, though his injury history makes the opportunity less than ideal.
It’s unlikely for Romo to find a team immediately even though the Houston Texans and Denver Broncos are both thought to be interested.
The expectation is that soon-to-be-former #Cowboys QB Tony Romo will take a Manning-style visit tour. So don’t expect a quick signing

If you use Peyton Manning as a template, he was released on March 7 and signed on Mar. 21, so the similarities could be even closer than one would think given the difference in circumstances.
