Weight has been an issue for Eddie Lacy throughout his NFL career, but the Seattle Seahawks don’t seem to mind his bulk after signing him to a one-year, $5.55 million deal with $3 million guaranteed.
Conditioning was a problem during his tenure with the Green Bay Packers, so naturally Seahawks coach Pete Carroll was asked about Lacy’s weight.
Pete Carroll on @710ESPNSeattle: Seahawks will make “concerted effort” to make sure Lacy stays in shape. “I want him big.”

While it’s all well and good that Carroll thinks he and the Seahawks can control Lacy’s weight, it doesn’t change the fact that he weighed in way over that mark during his team visits in free agency.
RB Eddie Lacy visited Sea (his new team), Minn and GB in the last wk. For one of the three teams Lacy weighed 267. Listed last year at 234.

On the bright side, even if Lacy does balloon up, the Seahawks could use some help on the offensive line.
