The New York Jets are sending mixed messages with their recent roster behavior.
After stunningly releasing veteran stalwart David Harris during OTAs, now the team is reportedly looking to offload wideout Eric Decker as well.
And now the Jets are parting ways with WR Eric Decker, sources tell ESPN. Have told WR they either will release or trade him this week.

And what kind of replacement might they seek?
Well, how about a recently retired one in now NFL Network analyst Steve Smith?
The Jets reached out to @89SteveSmith asking if he was interested in playing
“Hands off Steve Smith, he belongs to our team”😂 – @MikeSilver pic.twitter.com/fTe5nTO4rg

This new Jets front office was supposed to be more organized than its predecessors, but it seems like business as usual for the J-E-T-S.
And the incompetence of general manager Mike MacCagnan could wind up costing head coach Todd Bowles his job.
