Before he even played a down for the Dallas Cowboys, Ezekiel Elliott was implicated in an alleged domestic violence incident in July of 2016 that never even warranted charges from law enforcement.
Nevertheless, given the NFL‘s perceived soft stance against these types of issues in the past, the Cowboys are preparing for Elliott to receive a short suspension as a result.
And after his St. Patrick’s Day incident this past March, it only stands to reason that league wants to send a message to a young, up-and-coming star.
So, quarterback Dak Prescott will likely have an even heavier load on his shoulders at some point during the 2017 campaign.
