It’s not often that a player the caliber of Sheldon Richardson gets moved less than a week before the kickoff of the NFL season.
Fortunately for the Seattle Seahawks, this is the only year where they wanted Richardson and managed to land him in a blockbuster deal with the New York Jets.
Though Richardson will help the Seahawks immensely up front on defense, the Jets didn’t gyped in this deal.
? TRADE ALERT ? The Jets have traded DE Sheldon Richardson to the Seahawks in exchange for WR Jermaine Kearse and a 2018 2nd-round pick. (via @rapsheet)
Jermaine Kearse coming back will greatly upgrade a weak receiving corps, and the second-round pick they acquired will aid their ongoing rebuild.
Seems like the definition of a win-win.
