Now that free agency is essentially over, with the biggest signings already happening, let’s update the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' five biggest needs heading into the draft. 5. Linebackers Getty Images 5. Linebackers Getty Images The Buccaneers have plenty of potential in their linebacking corp, but we have yet to see that. Their defensive line did a solid job getting after the quarterback last year, but the three behind them were fairly quiet throughout the season. Either they need to draft some young talent, or find a player in their linebacking corp that will step up and show out. 4. Tight End Getty Images 4. Tight End Getty Images If you can name the Buccaneers starting tight end off the top of your head, I'm proud of you. Timothy Wright is by no means a show stopping tight end in the passing game and is average in run blocking. As a rookie, he caught 54 passes for 571 yards and five touchdowns. Those aren’t awful numbers, but they can certainly be better. 3. Quarterback Getty Images 3. Quarterback Getty Images They already had Mike Glennon and added Josh McCown through free agency. However, I don’t think either is the answer at quarterback for the Buccaneers. This isn’t their highest priority, but they shouldn’t feel too comfortable with what they’ve got. 2. Defensive Back Getty Images 2. Defensive Back Getty Images The Buccaneers let arguably the best cornerback in the game of football walk out the door. Now that Darrelle Revis is gone, the Bucs’ 17th-best pass defense will certainly suffer. Mark Barron, Dashon Goldson, Johnthan Banks and Danny Gorrer are manning the secondary. Will they be enough? I’m not so sure. 1. Offensive Line Getty Images 1. Offensive Line Getty Images Last season, the Buccaneers' front five paved the way for the 22nd-best rushing attack and allowed a painful 47 sacks. It doesn’t matter who your running back or quarterback is, if the offensive line can’t get the job done, your offense is virtually useless. They could very easily draft a solid lineman on Day 2 of the draft, but we’ll see how that plays out. Comment 0 Comments Share 0 Shares

TE Getty Images 5. TE Getty Images Marcedes Lewis is coming off a season in which he played just 11 games and had 359 receiving yards. Is he healthy enough to compete at a high level like his 700-yard and 10-touchdown season of 2010? This may be an area they can look at in the later rounds. 4. WR Getty Images 4. WR Getty Images What good is a quarterback if there is nobody to throw to? Cecil Shorts and Ace Sanders are both deep threats, but are they good enough to be dominant receivers teams need to worry about every down? They have potential, but the Jaguars should consider a receiver in day two or even three. 3. RB Getty Images 3. RB Getty Images Maurice Jones-Drew is long gone and he takes with him any sort of rushing attack Jacksonville may have had. The Jaguars can wait until day two fill this need, and Andre Williams would be an intriguing option in the middle rounds. 2. DE/Pass Rusher Getty Images 2. DE/Pass Rusher Getty Images As the Seattle Seahawks showed, defense still wins championships, particularly ones that can rush the quarterback. With their first pick Jadeveon Clowney could be available and Khalil Mack will be. If the want to go with a pass rusher, they’ll have options at No. 3. 1. QB Getty Images 1. QB Getty Images Chad Henne is a solid backup, but his time as a starter in the NFL is over. With the NFL becoming a more pass-oriented league, having a bona fide starter to build your team around is becoming paramount. Johnny Manziel, Blake Bortles or Teddy Bridgewater should be first-round targets. Comment 0 Comments Share 0 Shares
