The Boston Bruins defeated the New York Islanders 5-2 in their last game at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum. The win marks their seventh win in their last 10 games; the Bruins had a much-needed strong stretch leading up to the All-Star break.

Trade talks in the last couple of months have left no one untouchable. The likes of Brad Marchand, Milan Lucic and Zdeno Chara where rumored to be on the block, however, their recent stretch of success leaves little reason to believe that the current group will be separated any time soon.

The Islanders gave the Bruins a run for their money, but they once again proved they can beat quality teams in the face adversity. The Bruins’ two previous losses were against subpar opponents, the Columbus Blue Jackets and Colorado Avalanche. However, through that same stretch that they defeated several playoff teams, much of the efforts were lead by an 18-year-old kid.

The young David Pastrnak is a player who Boston hockey fans can get excited about. Even when he is not scoring two goals a game, he makes his presence felt. In the Bruins’ first game out of the All-Star break, he was providing relentless offensive pressure, and even threw some big hits at opponents.

The past couple weeks of Bruins hockey has fans feeling much better than they did when the team was practically ready for an all-out overhaul of the roster. The Bruins proved tonight after giving up a two goal lead that they are not playing to fold or quit on the team. These guys are for real and are hungry for a very deep playoff run.

Bruins Fans Have Brutal NSFW Brawl on Subway

The tall dude told the little guy not to touch his coat again multiple times and he didn’t listen. Maybe if the Bruins were playing a little better on the ice, these guys would be talking about the game instead of beating each other up.
